Salmon Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is the office of Dr. Bryant Salmon, DMD, MD, a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon in Memphis, Tennessee. The practice is at 5565 Murray Avenue, Suite 102, Memphis, TN 38119, and serves patients from East Memphis, Germantown, Collierville, Cordova, and the greater Memphis area.

Dr. Salmon is the sole owner and surgeon. The office was founded by Dr. Lawrence McRae and Dr. Trent Wilson, who practiced oral and maxillofacial surgery in Memphis from the mid-1980s until their retirements. The name has changed. The practice is still locally owned, with no outside corporate partners.

Care ranges from wisdom teeth removal and tooth extractions to dental implants, bone grafting, oral pathology, and treatment of oral infections and facial trauma. In-office cone beam CT and an intraoral scanner are used for diagnosis. Anesthesia options are local anesthesia, nitrous oxide, and IV sedation.

  • Surgery can often be performed the same day as the consultation. A complex medical history or treatment plan may require an evaluation first and treatment at a later date. Patients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the consultation.

  • The office offers local anesthesia, nitrous oxide, and IV sedation. For IV anesthesia, a preoperative consultation and exam are required, nothing to eat or drink for eight hours before surgery, and a responsible adult must stay during the procedure and drive the patient home.

  • Yes. We file all professional services to your insurance as a courtesy. We are in network with Cigna PPO, Aetna PPO, Delta Dental, and BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee. We’re happy to see patients with any plan, and we can bill your out-of-network benefits if you’d like. Out-of-network benefits vary by plan, so call us at 901-767-0088 and we’ll help you check yours.
